Dr Veeraruna Kavitha has joined us!

Dr. V. V. Kavitha has joined as Assistant Professor on 15/5/12. We welcome her and wish her all the best.

 

In her own words:

  I obtained my B.E. degree in  Electronics from UVCE, Bangalore in 1994 and the M.Sc (Engg) and Ph.D. degree from Dept. of ECE, Indian Institute of Science (IISc),  Bangalore in 2002 and 2007 respectively. From 1994-2000, I was involved in the design and development of GPS, CDMA and Voice band modems at Accord Software and Systems, Bangalore. I was an NBHM (National Board for Higher Mathematics) post doctoral fellow at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bangalore, during 2007-08.  Between Aug 2008 till Nov 2011, I had been a post doctoral researcher with MAESTRO, INRIA, Sophia Antipolis, France and LIA, University of Avignon, France.  From Dec 2011 till April 2012, I worked for a short duration, primarily in telecommunication based industries  and I joined IIT Bombay on 15th of May 2012. 

My Research Interests are  Stochastic analysis,  Optimal control,  Game theory,  Learning,  Queuing Theory,  Polling systems, Networking,  Wireless communications.
