IEOR students attend IFORS-2011

Three students of IEOR attended the 19th Triennial Conference of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS2011) held on July 10-15, 2011 at Melbourne, Australia. 

Krishna Chaitanya Vanam (Graduate student) chaired a session "Innovative Applications in Game Theory" and presented a paper on "A New Excess-based Solution Concept for Cooperative TU Games", co-authored with Prof. N Hemachandra.

Goutam Sen (PhD student) presented a paper "Static Data Segment Location Problem in Information Networks" co-authored with Prof. Mohan Krishnamoorthy (IITB Monash Research Academy), Prof. David Abramson (Monash University), Prof. Vishnu Narayanan and Prof. Narayan Rangaraj.

Anu Thomas (PhD student) presented a paper "Collaborative Resource Constrained Scheduling : A Coal Industry Example" co-authored with Dr. Gaurav Singh (CSIRO, Australia), Prof. Mohan Krishnamoorthy (IITB Monash Research Academy) and Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran.
