Prof. Narayan Rangaraj visited Monash University and CSIRO, Melbourne, Australia as part of a team from IIT Bombay visiting the two institutions during March 4-7, 2014.

The following talks were delivered during the visit:

  • "Models for Operations Management for Railways and Multi-modal transport in India", at Monash University as part of a symposium organized by the IITB-Monash Research Academy on 5 March, 2014,
  • "Optimization of rolling stock in railway operations" at CSIRO, on 6 March 2014 and
  • "Use of time-based measures (delays) as an indication of congestion and subsequent planning of capacity enhancements on a transport network" at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Monash University on 7 March 2014.
