IIT Bombay hosted the 50th Inter IIT Sports Meet-Aquatics Meet during October 1-4, 2014, and the Main Meet during December 12-19, 2014. Out of 16 participating IITs, Bombay won the girls championship by a huge margin, while boys narrowly missed the third place.
Four students from IEOR participated in various events. Shilpi Bhargava, M.Tech. 2nd year student, took part in aquatics and won Silver in 50 meter Butterfly, Bronze in 100 meter Freestyle, and secured 4th place in 50 meter Backstroke.
Meenarli Sharma, Ph.D. 2nd year student, bagged Silver in 4x100 meter relay and was part of the Basketball team.
Prashant Palkar and L. Sathish Kumar, both Ph.D. 2nd year students, represented the Volleyball team.
