About me

I am an Associate Professor at the centre for Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), Indian Institute Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of ECE, Boston University, USA for two years. I obtained a Ph.D. degree from University of Avignon, France (and INRIA, Sophia Antipolis, France) in 2013 and a M.Sc (Engg) degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, in 2009. My bachelor’s degree is from National Institute of Technology Bhopal (MANIT), India in 2004. Between 2004-2007, I worked as Scientist-B at Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Bangalore.

My research interests are broadly in Machine learning, Communication networks, and Cybersecruity. In machine learning, my interest is in development and analysis of online learning algorithms that efficiently exploit the problem structure and work with limited feedback. In communication networks, my interest is in resource allocation problems and various economics issues related to the ongoing net-neutrality debate. In Cybsersecruity, my interests are in threat detection and response in end-points.

Opening

I am looking for motivated and enthusiastic PhD students to work in the areas of Machine Learning and Network Economics. Students with BE/MTech/MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics are encouraged to apply. Interested students can email their CV with subject line 'Application for PhD Position'.
