IIT Bombay's IEOR community officially inaugurated the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) and launched the B.Tech program on April 24th, 2024 at VMCC Hall 31. The event brought together faculty, mentors, and students both in person and online to celebrate this momentous occasion.
We are happy to welcome you all to the IEOR Symposium to mark the change in the status of IEOR to department, and the launch of our new B.Tech program. All thanks to each of you.

The team of three project members (Neeraj Kishor Naik, Karthik Goud & Mohanish Kumar) visited CRIS, Delhi from 20/03/2024 to 22/03/2024 to give a demo on the use of a Simulator for performing following tasks:
Sachin Bodke, a second-year Ph.D. student in the IEOR department at IIT Bombay under the guidance of Prof. Narayan Rangaraj, pursued his R&D project under the supervision of Prof. Usha Ananthakumar from the SJMSOM department. He presented his work at the International Conference on Emerging Technologies, Analytics, and Operations (ICETAO 2024), held from March 22nd to 23rd, 2024, at ICFAI Business School (IBS) in Hyderabad.
Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at IIT Bombay is now a Department, and will be soon offering a full basket of degree courses, ranging from B.Tech (starting July 2024) to M.Sc., M.Tech and Ph.D. In addition, the minor program for B.Tech/BS students, IDDDP, short term courses, sponsored research, consulting, short-term etc, will continue, along with research and publishing.
IEOR is happy to announce that Dr. Priyank Sinha has joined as an Assistant Professor on 21-03-2024.
His research interests include Network Optimization, Transportation and Logistics Network Design, and Supply Chain Network Analysis.
