The ORSI 2018 will be held at the Victor Menezes
Convention Center (VMCC), IIT Bombay,
Mumbai India.
IIT Bombay, was established in 1958, at Powai, a northern suburb of Mumbai. Today
the Institute is one of the centers of academic excellence in the country. Over the
years, there has been dynamic progress at IIT Bombay in all academic and research
activities, and a parallel improvement in facilities and infrastructure, to keep it
on par with the best institutions in the world. IIT Bombay is celebrating its
Diamond Jubilee this year.
The IIT Bombay campus is an ecological hotspot an oasis of soothing green,
flanked by the two lakes ‘Powai’ and ‘Vihar’. There are more than a hundred
species of trees and wild flowers and about 150 recorded species of birds. The
natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere belies the range and intensity of the
academic activities.
Accommodation
Participants are requested to make their own arrangement for accommodation
at hotels near IITB campus. A list of suggested hotels can be found below.
You may directly contact the hotels and make your reservations.
For students:
Efforts are underway for accommodation for students at IITB student hostels (on
sharing basis). We will keep you posted on this.

Student Accommodation
We have made arrangements for student accommodation at IITBombay student hostels for the ORSI-2018 conference. To book your stay at the student hostel, follow the steps as below:
1. Register for the conference, as mentioned in http://ieor.iitb.ac.in/orsi2018/reg.html
2. Once the fees are received, your registration will be verified.
3. After verification, login to https://orsi2018.ivyleaguesystems.com using your user-id and password you used for your registration
4. Once logged in, click "Participant> Accommodation Booking"
5. Select "Provide (external) hotel booking details"
6. Select your From Date and To Date.
7. Select either Boys Hostel or Girls Hostel.
8. Click submit. **NO payment needed at this point**
These student hostel accommodations can be booked until December 8th 2018, after your registration is done. However we recommend you do it as soon as possible.
Kindly note that the student hostel accommodation will be on sharing basis only, in IITB student hostels with common bathrooms. It is recommended *only* for students. A nominal payment of about Rs500/day may be applicable which you may need to pay the hostel directly (We are trying to negotiate a waiver from the Institute. Will keep you posted).
