Large Scale Optimization

Large Scale Optimization (LSO) Summer School, 2025 will cover advanced topics in integer, linear and nonlinear optimization. It will feature sessions on theory, modeling, applications and computing. The school is targeted at PhD students, post-graduate students, faculty and industry professionals interested in advanced topics in this area. Topics include

• Applications in logistics and transportation
• Benders decomposition
• Column generation
• Computational complexity in optimization and approximation algorithms
• Cutting plane methods
• Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition
• Heuristic methods
• Lagrangean relaxation
• Robust optimization
• Valid inequalities and polar duality

The summer school is the 5th in series, following the LSO Summer Schools at IIM Indore (2019), IIM Ahmedabad(2022), Kanpur (2023), and IIT Roorkee (2024).

Following is the registration fees for the summer school. It includes goods and services tax (GST), but does not include accommodation, travel and food.

Venue and Accommodation

LSO 2025 will be held in IIT Bombay campus located in Powai, Mumbai. IIT Bombay hostels will be available on subsidised rates for attendees. A limited number of guest-house accommodation is available for speakers and other attendees.
