Biography:
I am an assistant professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at IIT Bombay. Previously, I was a postdoctoral research associate in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University. I received my PhD from the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, in 2022. Click here for a brief CV.

Research Interests:
My research interests are in applied probability and data analytics. Specifically, I am interested in interacting particle systems, large deviations, stochastic networks, stochastic control, and mean-field games.

A brief overview of my research can be found on this page.

Publications: Available on this page.

Teaching: IE 622: Probability and Stochastic Processes II  (with N. Hemachandra), Spring 2025

Note to prospective students:
I am always looking to hire motivated PhD students with a strong background in mathematics, statistics, or electrical and computer engineering. If your research interests are broadly in applied probability, I encourage you to apply for admission to IEOR, IIT Bombay, on this page. Admissions are typically done twice a year, in July and January, with application deadlines in April and October, respectively.
See this page for more information on admissions, and this page for details on the IEOR PhD program.
