The IEOR Department of IIT Bombay successfully hosted its 64th Convocation on 22nd August 2026 as part of the Departmental Degree Award Function (DDAF), marking a special milestone as the Department celebrates its Golden Jubilee Year. The ceremony commenced with the Academic Procession, Vande Mataram, and the Institute Song, followed by the welcome address by the Head of Department, Prof. K. S. Mallikarjuna Rao.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Keku Bomi Gazder, MD & CEO, Aviapro Logistic Services Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon, who delivered the Convocation Address. The event also featured a Memories Video, faculty anecdotes, the presentation of medals and awards, and the distribution of degrees to the graduating students. The ceremony continued with reflections from the graduates, the Graduate Pledge, Vote of Thanks, and the National Anthem, and concluded with a group photograph and refreshments.
As IEOR marks its Golden Jubilee, we celebrate the Class of 2026, whose journey now becomes a part of the Department’s rich legacy.
