This webinar is organized by IIT Bombay and Boston College School of Social Work, as part of the MHRD-funded SPARC initiative. Lectures were conducted using a web-based meeting platform (viz. Zoom). 

Background 

Prof. Manjesh Hanawal from IEOR presented 2 papers at WiOpt 2023, the first one titled " Continuous Time Bandits With Sampling Costs" with Rahul Vaze and the second paper titled “ICQ: A Quantization Scheme for Best-Arm Identification Over Bit-Constrained Channels” authored by Fathima Zarin Faizal, Adway Girish, Manjesh K Hanawal and Nikhil Karamchandani.

IEOR students council organized Teacher's Day event on 5th September 2023. It was attended by faculty members, staff, and students. The event commenced with Guru Vandana by 2 PhD scholars Simran Lakhani and Riya Sultana. Further, a first year student narrated a beautiful poem on importance of teachers in one's life. It was an honour to present Departmental Award for Excellence in Teaching for the year 2023 to Prof. Narayan Rangaraj which is awarded by the Institute based on student feedback across multiple courses over the past five years.
