Sachin Bodke visited Government Dialysis Centers in Madhya Pradesh

Sachin Bodke, a research scholar from Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), recently visited the five Government Dialysis Centers in Madhya Pradesh. He visited the centers located in Datia, Dabra, Morena, Bhind, and Gwalior from June 15th to June 17th, 2023. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the challenges faced by these centers and understand the demands and requests of the patients they serve.

Sachin Bodke, a Research Fellow at IEOR, IIT Bombay, had the honor of presenting his work titled "A Multi-Period Location-Allocation Model for Healthcare Facility Planning Under Accessibility Restrictions" at the 16th International Symposium on Locational Decisions (ISOLDE XVI) in Germany. The symposium took place at Fraunhofer ITWM in Kaiserslautern and Maison Messmer Hotel in Baden-Baden from June 25th to June 30th, 2023. Bodke was the sole representative from India among 78 speakers from 18 countries across three continents.

IEOR students attended workshops at TIFR and IISc Banglore

IEOR research scholars Shiksha Singhal, Tushar, Madhu, Vartika, Khushboo, Gurkirat, and Anand attended the "Data Science: Probabilistic and Optimization Methods workshop", organized at ICTS-TIFR, Bangalore from 3-7 July 2023. This workshop majorly focused on the state-of-the-art fast processing tools for the enormous data that is being generated, sometimes at a high speed.

Rishav Deval, a Senior Research Fellow at IEOR, IIT Bombay, presented "Emission-based Production and Inventory Control System: A stability analysis for system cost and service level", a paper co-authored with Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran at the 11th EUROSIM CONGRESS 2023 held at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Amsterdam, the Netherland organized triennially by the Dutch Benulex Simulation Society (DBSS) from July 3 to July 5, themed Simulation for Sustainable Future, observed presenters from around 35+ countries with 100+ posters and presentations.

MECS SC2 Project Team from IITB visited Patna

As a part of Phase I, MECS SC2 project, IITB team visited the BRLPS head office in Patna from 13th June to 15th June 2023. The workshop was conducted to finalize the itemized cashflows, manpower (salary and roles), awareness activities, timeline, target location, target market, and other supply chain requirements for the project. 
We also briefly introduced our work to the CEO of Jeevika (BRLPS).
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Jayendran V., Deepak, Sanket, Purva, and the JWIRES team(Amit, Gaurav, Jitendra, Pushpendra).
