The title of her work, "Allocation Policies for In-house and Outsourced Railway Rakes," explores the challenges and potential solutions in managing transportation resources. Focusing on the challenges companies face in optimizing transportation fleets, particularly in the rail sector, the work emphasizes the shift towards in-house rail fleets to counter issues like rake unavailability. The study highlights the potential benefits of dedicated rail fleets, including cost-effectiveness and tailored logistics, while acknowledging the financial intricacies of procuring rail wagons.
