IEOR students attended workshops at TIFR and IISc Banglore

IEOR research scholars Shiksha Singhal, Tushar, Madhu, Vartika, Khushboo, Gurkirat, and Anand attended the "Data Science: Probabilistic and Optimization Methods workshop", organized at ICTS-TIFR, Bangalore from 3-7 July 2023. This workshop majorly focused on the state-of-the-art fast processing tools for the enormous data that is being generated, sometimes at a high speed.

Madhu Dhiman, Tushar Walunj, and Shiksha Singhal also attended the CNI Sumer School, 2023 on "Dynamic resource allocation problems in communication networks", organized at IISc, Bangalore from 10-14 July 2023. Here the focus was on state-of-the-art efficient heuristics, such as LP-based and Whittle index policies, using the theory of Markov decision processes.
