Sachin Bodke, a Research Fellow at IEOR, IIT Bombay, had the honor of presenting his work titled "A Multi-Period Location-Allocation Model for Healthcare Facility Planning Under Accessibility Restrictions" at the 16th International Symposium on Locational Decisions (ISOLDE XVI) in Germany. The symposium took place at Fraunhofer ITWM in Kaiserslautern and Maison Messmer Hotel in Baden-Baden from June 25th to June 30th, 2023. Bodke was the sole representative from India among 78 speakers from 18 countries across three continents.
In addition to the scientific sessions, the organizing committee arranged a trip to Hambach Castle and a train ride with Kuckucksbähnel, accompanied by a delightful wine-tasting experience during a train ride. These extracurricular activities provided an opportunity for the participants to engage in networking and enjoy the cultural offerings of the region.
