Abstract: In this talk we shall look at the different facets of AI applied to the supply chain management in Retail and Manufacturing. I will provide a glimpse of hierarchical demand forecasting, multi-modal, multi-vehicle, multi-state distribution network, price optimization using a digital twin, inventory optimization under uncertainty and a few other aspects where AI is used in supply chain at a Reliance scale. We shall also talk about the general life cycle and the broader building blocks in a data science product and discuss opportunities in AI and data science.
Speaker Bio: Dr. Akansha Kumar is Chief Data Scientist in Jio Platforms Limited. She heads the AI charter in the supply chain in the AI Center of Excellence and ideate, innovate and implement AI solutions at scale for Reliance Retail and the Reliance O2C business. She has a Ph.D. From Texas A&M University and have more than 17 years of experience. She has filed 20 patents and have published more than a dozen journal and conference papers. In my team, we use technologies ranging across time series forecasting, optimization methods, generative methods, control optimization, pricing analytics, causality, market intelligence, and product segmentation.
