"Naval Operations Analysis” (NOA) CEP course, a 16 week program, was conducted full-time from 28th Jan 2019 to 17th May 2019 for officers of the Indian Navy. The course covered basic mathematics, data analysis, applied probability and statistics, simulation, optimization, game theory and specialized topics in Naval Operations (viz., Combat models, Search and Detection). The student officers also did a month long projects. Many faculty and students contributed to this course.
The valedictory function of the “Naval Operations Analysis” CEP course was held on 17th May, 2019 at IIT Bombay. The function was presided by Cmde S.S.Kinagi, (Director - INTEG), Prof. Mujumdar (Deputy Director, IIT Bombay), Prof. Preethi Rao (Prof-in-charge, CEP, IITB), and Prof. Narayan Rangaraj (Head, IEOR). The student officers made presentation of their team projects, after which the valedictory function was held where the 8 student officers were awarded their course completion certificates. This included a gala-lunch.
