Prof Narayan Rangaraj visited University of Goettingen and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany

Prof Narayan Rangaraj visited University of Goettingen (Georg August Universitaet, Goettingen) from July 8-12, 2013. He visited the research group of Prof Anita Schoebel (Institute for Numerical and Applied Mathematics) and gave a talk on "Optimization Problems in Production Planning and Supply Chain Management" based on work done with students and colleagues at IIT Bombay.

During the visit to Karlsruhe Insitute of Technology from July 15-18, 2013, he visited the research group of Prof Dorothea Wagner (Computer Science Department).

These visits were as part of a DST-DFG project on Train Pathing Algorithms.  During the visit to Germany, he also visited the Institute for Transport Logistics, Technical University of Dortmund and the Daimler Mercedes Benz Research Center in Boeblingen.
