IEOR doctoral students attended and presented their works at the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management (IEEM 2022), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia held during 7-10 December 2022.
- Rishav Deval presented the paper titled Stability Analysis of Emission-based Production & Inventory Control System (EPICS) co-authored with Prof. Jayendran Venkasteswaran
- Akshay Vilas Upasany presented a paper titled Simulation for Modeling and Analysis of Burn Center co-authored with Anurendra Singh (HBNI), Gurkirat Wadhwa (IITB), Jayendran Venkateswaran (IITB) and Gopika Vinod (HBNI). This paper was presented under Systems Modeling and Simulation 3 track.
IEEM observes an international gathering of researchers and practitioners from different branches of industrial engineering and engineering management around the world. Built on the experience of the earlier conferences, IEEM has been a conference of a very high standard. IEEM2022 received nearly seven hundred submissions from forty countries and regions, worldwide. The acceptance decisions were based on at least two consistent recommendations, ensuring the conference’s consistent demand for high-quality standards. Organized by IEEE TEMS, IEEM 2022 conference was hosted at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The sessions including Production Planning & Control, Supply Chain Management, Decision Analysis & Methods, Manufacturing Systems, Reliability & Maintenance Engineering, Systems Modeling & Simulation, etc., were organized. Furthermore, as a part of the industrial visit a tour of Steelcase Manufacturing, Selangor, Malaysia was organized for insight into the business operations and state-of-the-art infrastructure & systems for their manufacturing plant.
