IEOR is proud to report that the Head of the department, Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran has been appointed Institute Chair Professor for 3 years from 18-3-2021.
The 59th Interim Convocation of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was held on Friday, February 28, 2021, from 3.00 pm onwards in the Convocation Hall of the Institute in hybrid mode (3-D Virtual Reality Enabled).
The function was presided over by Mr. Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, Quality Council of India and Former Chairperson, McKinsey. Shripad Salsingikar, Ravi Kant Rai and Mayur Zadbuke were awarded their Ph.D., M.Sc & Ph.D Dual and M.Tech degrees respectively .

IEOR student Akash Saha's research has been featured in the latest issue of ACR Newsletter for February 2021.
The work is titled as 'Learning with Operator-valued Kernels in Reproducing Kernel Krein Spaces' under the guidance of Prof. P Balamurugan.

IEOR is happy to announce that IIT Bombay has conferred the honour of Professor Emeritus to Prof. P.G. Awate in the recent Senate Meeting. Prof. Awate was one the founding members of the Department and also one of the first faculty members.
