IEOR is happy to announce that Prof. Avinash Bhardwaj has joined IEOR as a faculty member. This is a joint appointment with Mechanical Engineering Dept, IIT Bombay.  He has been with IITB since 2018, his area of work is Optimization including linear, non-linear, conic, combinatorial problems.  He will also be offering courses in IEOR, and guiding Masters and Doctoral students.  His office is in ME building. IEOR congratulates Prof. Ashutosh Mahajan  for recieving the Departmental Award for Excellence in Teaching for the year 2022. This is awarded by the Institute based on student feedback across multiple courses over the past five years. Ashutosh has been teaching courses related to optimization and Operation Research. 

Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Bombay's 60th convocation was held on August 20, 2022. The convocation was held in physical mode and Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group attended the IIT Bombay 60th convocation as chief guest. 

IIT Bombay hosted reunion convocation for graduated students of the 2020 and 2021 batches. A joyful event organized on  August 6, 2022, 2:30 pm-4:30 pm at VMCC 34 hall for IEOR. 

Glimpses

Department orientation for the class of 2022 in M.Tech, Msc-PhD and PhD courses organized on 22 July 2022 at room LC202 in offline mode .This event marked the beginning of academic journey for new entrants where IEOR faculties shared the welcome message and tips to excel in academic environment. Brief description about various facilities and activities was also provided to students.
