Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran has been promoted as Associate Professor, IEOR for his contributions to the Institute and department. He is a faculty member at IEOR, IITBombay since 2005.  His research and teaching interests are primarily in the areas of modeling, simulation and analysis of complex systems (viz. supply chains).

IEOR students awarded at IIT Bombay's 52nd convocation

The 52nd Convocation of IIT Bombay was held on 9 August, 2014. IEOR Ph.D. student Vikas Vikram Singh received "Excellence in Thesis" award for his dissertation "Some topics in Stochastic Games". The award is given to a selected set of students in the Ph.D. programme for their exemplary contributions during their thesis work, overall academic performance and contributions during the student's tenure in the doctoral programme.

Prof. Narayan Rangaraj and Vishal Rewari made a presentation on April 9, 2014, at the workshop on Urban Freight Transport: A Global Perspective. This workshop was organized by Transportation Systems Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Bombay and VREF Center of Excellence for Sustainable Urban Freight Systems, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

ISCI (International Simulation Conference of India) is an International forum in India where recent Development in the field of System Simulation are talked about. ISCI-2013 was the second edition held from 21st to 23rd February at IITM Research Park, hosted jointly by IIT Madras, Chennai and PMI.  Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran, Ms. Ketki Kulkarni and Mr, Ratnaji Vanga attended the conference.

Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran presented a keynote address on 'Hybrid Simulation and Optimization Approaches'.
