L. Sathishkumar defended his Ph.D. thesis, titled "Simulation based Optimisation with Input Data Uncertainty" on Monday, 22nd July, 2019.  The IEOR family extends their congratulations to Dr.Sathishkumar, and wishes him well for his future contributions in the field of IE & OR.

Hamidur Rahman defended his Ph.D. thesis, titled "Algorithms and Relaxations for Optimization over Bilinear Covering Sets" on Monday, 22nd April, 2019.

Research scholar M Venkateswararao won the student Best Paper in ITS Workshop for his work on "Bus schedule for optimal bus bunching and waiting times" at the 10th International Conference on COMmunication Systems & NETworkS (COMSNETS 2018) held at Bengaluru this year. This work was done by Venky in collaboration with his advisor Prof V. Kavitha and their collaborator Urtzi Ayesta at CNRS

Ratnaji Vanga defended his Ph.D. thesis titled "Supply Chain Management of Reusable Articles" on July 3, 2017. The research work was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Jayendran V. and Prof. Narayan Rangaraj. The external examiner was Prof. R. K. Amit of IIT Madras.
