The activities of the Mumbai Chapter of the Operations Research Society of India for 2013 have been initiatied with the meeting which saw participation from students apart from the Core committe members and OR enthusiasts.

IEOR students attended XVI Annual International Conference of Society of Operations Management (SOM) organized at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi on December 21-23, 2012.

Tilak Raj Singh, a research scholar presented a paper on "Calculation of products virtual configurations sets for variety management", a joint work with Prof. Narayan Rangaraj, Dr. Andreas Schuette and Dr. Christian Schlange.

Dileep Damayyawar, M.Tech-2011, presented a paper on “Inventory Planning and Management of a Cold Storage Facility for Grapes”, a joint work with Prof. Narayan Rangaraj.

Tilak Raj Singh, PhD student attended the Third Biennial Supply Chain Management Conference held at IIM Bangalore between December 14-15, 2012. He gave a presentation on "Managing product variety through customer choice modelling", a joint work with Prof. Narayan Rangaraj.

IEOR research scholars attended International Conference on Optimization, Computing and Business Analytics ICOCBA 2012, organised by Operational Research Society of India (ORSI) on Dec 20 -22, 2012 as part of their 45th annual convention.

Niraj Ramesh Dayama presented a paper titled "Algorithms and solution techniques for multiple cranes’ scheduling problem at cargo container trans-shipment terminals".

Anu Thomas presented "A Single Machine Scheduling Problem with Partial Information Sharing".
