IEOR Department Convocation for the class of 2023 took place on August 19th, 2023, at VMCC 21. The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Sandeep Juneja from TIFR.
Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran, Head of the Department of IEOR, extended a warm welcome to esteemed guests, students, and their families. He presented the departmental report, which was followed by an introduction of the graduating cohort along with their remarkable achievements.
During the convocation, Prof. Sandeep Juneja shared insights into the origins of IEOR as a field and imparted valuable life lessons to the graduating students.
The event witnessed the conferring of a total of 33 degrees. Dr. Anurag Ladge from Ph.D., Ms. Katikala Geetha Bhargavi from M.Tech, and Mr. Yannick Antonio Furtado from M.Sc delivered compelling valedictory speeches.

Dr. Vinod Khandkar received the prestigious Naik and Rastogi Award for Excellence in Ph.D. Research (21-23).
Dr. Nimita Shinde was honored with the IEOR Alumnus Endowment: Excellence in Doctoral Dissertation Award (21-23).
IEOR Alumnus Endowment: Best Master's Thesis Award (2023) was shared by Mr. Rohit Soni and Mr. Vaibhav Singh Panwar
Ms. Katikala Geetha Bhargavi was awarded the Institute Silver Medal, being the top performer of the M.Tech batch (22-23).
