Anand Kumar, Simran Lakhani, Nitish Kumar Dumoliya, Debanjan Gangopadhyay, Avi Roy Chowdhury - PhD students from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), participated in the Workshop on Advances in Data-Driven Optimization, CDSA-IIMA 2025, held at the IIM AHMEDABAD campus from April 23–25, 2025.
The Workshop is hosted by the Brij Disa Centre of Data Science and AI (CDSA) at IIM Ahmedabad. The entire series of lectures was presented by Prof. Karthyek Murthy, a faculty from the Singapore University of Technology and Design.
The objective of the workshop is to providing a basic knowledge about two problems of interest.
Distributionally Robust Optimization (DRO)
Online Resource Allocation (ORA)
These are both specific problems where decisions have to be made under uncertainty, and have a fast-growing body of literature along with interesting practical applications.
