IEOR Students and Faculty participated in the International Conference on Operations Research and Decision Sciences 2019 held at IIM Visakhapatnam from 28 Dec - 30 Dec, 2019.
Among the presenters from the Department were Aanchal Panwar (Exploring Rank 1 Games), Sitadri Roy Choudhury (Power Games between Government Agencies) and Akul Bansal (Simulation based Solution for Delivering Fresh Chapati to Hostel Residents). Prof. N. Hemachandra gave a talk on 'Classification Games, Shapley Values and Feature Subset Selection', and Prof. Mallikarjuna Rao gave a talk on 'Design of Robust Networks with Incomplete Information'.
Akul Bansal received the Best Paper Award for the paper on 'Simulation based Solution for Delivering Fresh Chapati to Hostel Residents' which is a joint work with Gulfan Khan, Prof. Ashutosh Mahajan and Prof. Mallikarjuna Rao.
Sambit Mohanty and Anirban Karmakar also represented the Department at the conference.
