IEOR M.Tech. Admissions 2023

Update (9th May): The aptitude test question paper and registration form have been sent to all shortlisted candidates from  SW/ IS/ PS/ IB categories and International Applicants. Please check your mail (inbox and spam folders).  

Important

Admissions to IEOR MTech will happen for TA category as well as RAP category. The admission procedure for these two categories are separate. There are no tests/interviews for TA category. Applicants can choose to participate in each or both of these categories or none. In particular, non-participation in RAP does not affect their selection in TA category and vice-versa.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Application Procedure for Indian Nationals (deadline over): Visit IIT-B Admissions Page for the latest Information Brochure, Online Application Portal, and Admission Schedule.
  • Application Procedure for International Candidates: International candidates should visit the website of International Relations Office of IIT-Bombay for information regarding the opportunities available and admissions procedures.
  • SW/ IS/ PS/ IB category admission: The admission is based on an online Aptitude Test and online Interview.
    • Aptitude test questions will be mailed to the shortlisted candidates by 8th May 2023.
    • Submission deadline for aptitude test solutions: 10th May 2023, 5 PM.
    • Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 12th May 2023.
  • Meeting link for the interview session for SW/ IS/ PS/ IB category admission will be mailed to the candidates. Please check your junk/ bulk/ spam folder in case your name is present in the schedule but you have not received the mail.
Application Category Admission Procedure
TA Category

DTA Category Direct Admissions only, based on GATE score, via COAP portal. The minimum GATE cut off for direct admission for TA seats in IEOR M.Tech is 650 for General category for all GATE papers. A 650+ score in GATE does not guarantee a seat. It just means you are eligible, but there are many more eligible students than the intake capacity.  IEOR also follows a bucketing system as per GATE paper. Details of that can be found at the end of this page.
SW/ IS/ PS/ IB category

Aptitude test questions will be mailed to the shortlisted candidates by 8th May 2023. 

Submission deadline for aptitude test solutions: 10th May 2023, 5 PM.   

Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 12th May 2023. 
RA/ RAP category

Test/ Interviews in June 2023. Details TBD.
International Applicants

Aptitude test questions will be mailed to the shortlisted candidates by 8th May 2023. 

Submission deadline for aptitude test solutions: 10th May 2023, 5 PM.   

Interviews of shortlisted candidates will be conducted on 12th May 2023.
