A workshop on System Dynamics Theory and Practice held at VMCC, IIT Bombay during 5-6 Feb 2024. It was conducted by Prof. Nikhil Bugalia (IIT Madras), Prof. Pooja Prasad (IIT Delhi), Prof. Om Damani (IIT Bombay) and Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran (IIT Bombay).
This workshop aimed at bringing together faculty, students, and professionals working in systems thinking and system dynamics to share their works, connect/reconnect with a larger community, and build a "Systems Thinking" ecosystem in India.

IEOR conducted a 10-days "GIAN Course on Advances in Mixed Integer Nonlinear Optimization" from 15-25 January at VMCC, IIT Bombay.

TCAAI conducted workshop on Cybersecurity for Critical Infrastructure Theme: 5G Networks on 1 Feb 2024 at VMCC, IIT Bombay.

This workshop leads to lauch of VAJRA, which is an indigenous cybersecurity tool built to manage, detect, and respond to endpoint threats. Vajra’s core strength is in its ability to gather fine-grained contextual information from the endpoints in real time and robust rules to detect malicious activities.

IEOR extends its heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Manjesh Hanawal for receiving the "Research Excellence Award" generously endowed by the Class of 1973. This award recognizes and promotes excellence in research in engineering, basic science and other disciplines at IIT Bombay.

Scholar: Chhavi Sharma

Ankit Tatawat (MTech) student of IEOR and Tarun Bisht (MS) student of IEOR presented their work (co-authored with Prof Balamurugan Palaniappan ) on " Direct Speech to Speech Translation and Voice Interpolation" at the WISSAP 2023 held at IIT Kanpur from 18-23 Dec,23.

Divya Murali joined IEOR as a post-doctoral fellow and will work with Prof. K.S. Mallikarjuna Rao.Divya recently completed her PhD from the Dept. of Mathematics, at IIT Madras. Her research interest is in Game Theory and related areas. She will be working on her PDF with Prof. Mallikarjuna Rao, on  Stochastic games, Dynamic stability in evolutionary games, replicator dynamics.

Professor Jayendran from IEOR delivered a seminar titled "Energy Transition in India: Road Traveled and Opportunities Ahead," which was organized as part of the events in Vibrant Gujarat at Hotel Leela, Gandhi Nagar on December 1-2.

During the seminar he shared his experience on leading the initiative on Solar Urja through Localisation for Sustainability (SoULS), which focuses on decentralizing renewable energy access and has earned accolades including the IEEE Empower a Billion Lives Global Award
