Dr. K. P. Anoop has joined IEOR Department as a post doctoral research fellow on 12 November, 2020. His research interest lies in the application of OR and simulation based methods for solving problems in freight logistics and supply chain management. Currently he is focusing on the development of models and methods for solving multimodal/ synchromodal freight transportation problems involving rail and truck. He completed his Ph.D. in logistics and supply chain management from NIT Calicut. He worked closely with Food Corporation of India (FCI) and developed optimization models and heuristic algorithms to improve the freight transportation function.
He holds a Master's in Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Systems Design (Kannur University, 2014) while having his Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering (University of Calicut, 2012).
