Tushar Walnuj, Shiksha Singhal, Madhu, Gurkirat Wadhwa, and Vartika Singh, research scholars from IEOR, attended the lectures on Probability and Stochastic Processes (LPS), at the workshop organized at the Indian Institute of Science(IISc) during Dec 2 - Dec 6, 2022. They also participated in the following mini-courses during their visit.

1. Scaling limit of the directed polymer and SHE in dimension by Rongfeng Sun (National University of Singapore).
2. Markov chains for sampling: some recent developments by Piyush Srivastava (Tata Institute of Fundamental Research).

About workshop: This was started back in 2006 by Antar Bandyopadhyay, Krishanu Maulik, and Siva Athreya. It has two mini-courses on recent interests from experts in the respective areas. These courses are expected to expose the participants to the critical problems being considered in the current literature and the available techniques to work with them. A large audience, including research scholars, young PhDs from different institutes and universities in India, and a few foreign participants, are invited to the workshop. This gathering is expected to initiate collaborative work across various research centers in India. To facilitate this activity, the workshop has sufficient time for sessions, where researchers can pose and discuss problems that can interest others in the audience.
