Akash Saha (Research Scholar, IEOR, IIT Bombay) attended Research Week with Google 2023 held during 29-31 January 2023 at Bengaluru. He was selected to attend the Machine Learning Foundations track.
Research Week with Google is an annual three-day program conducted by Google Research India. It is structured to discuss a variety of state-of-the-art Machine Learning techniques and also their limitations and critiques. This year the program comprised research discussions in the broader Machine Learning area. Additionally, the program was divided into three sub-tracks: Computer Vision, ML Foundations, and Natural Language Understanding. The sub-tracks had combined sessions for undergraduate and Master's students and advanced sessions for Ph.D. students.
The event consists of research lectures and discussions with select undergraduate, Master’s, and Ph.D. students where esteemed researchers discuss ideas and seminal papers in AI Research to understand current developments and debates in the field. It also provides an opportunity to interact with researchers at Google Research India and know about opportunities such as Student researchers, Pre-Doctoral researchers, etc.
