Team Vajra representing the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, has achieved the Runner Up title at the recent Vimarsh 2023 5G Hackathon organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, and the Department of Telecommunications (DOT).
The hackathon showcased innovative projects aimed at strengthening the security of 5G communication networks. Vajra, a project led by Prof. Manjesh Kumar Hanawal and his team of Arjun Sable, Prakhar Paliwal, Devesh Sawant, and Yogesh Jadhav, impressed with its novel approach to fortifying 5G network security. Their dedication and innovative thinking earned recognition from esteemed officials including Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla (Union Home Secretary), Shri Tapan Kumar Deka (Director, Intelligence Bureau), Shri Balaji Shrivastava (Director General, Bureau of Police Research & Development), and Shri Neeraj Mittal (Secretary, Department of Telecom) during the ceremony held at the North Block, Rashtrapati Bhavan on 14th March 2024.
IEOR Staff and Student Arjun Sable attended the award ceremony, further strengthening the representation of IIT Bombay at the prestigious event.
