The POMS India International Conference 2024, organized by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi, in december served as a premier platform for discussions on operations management and supply chain innovations. Centered on the theme, "Reimagining Future of Operations for Resilience and Sustainability in a Digital World," the event featured diverse tracks and engaging sessions. I had the opportunity to present my paper titled "Quantifying Supply Chain Resilience: A System Dynamics Approach”. It featured varied track sessions, including sustainability and circular economy, OM in resiliency, digital technology reshaping business, human-focused POM, diversity and inclusion, and service operations management. Key events included a keynote by Prof. Rachana Shah on mitigating unintended consequences of digital solutions, a panel on sustainability in maritime logistics with digitization, and industry success stories like Dr. Kumud Jha's talk on bridging academia and business. Highlights also included simulations for experiential learning, a directors' panel on skills for a digitized future, and a doctoral colloquium on international success for Indian scholars.
