Sachin Bodke, a research scholar from the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) department at IIT Bombay, recently participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Camp (GEC) 2025 held at Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Thailand. The camp took place from January 8 to January 18, 2025, in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Sachin was first nominated by the Dean of the International Relations (IR) office at IIT Bombay and later selected by the camp organizers to attend. At the event, he presented his startup idea, Stalwart Health Tourism, and won the “Perfect Runner-Up Award” in the pitching competition.
The camp aimed to teach participants the basics of entrepreneurship and business, while also helping them develop their startup ideas. Sachin learned about the Business Model Canvas and how it can be used to create and grow a business.
The camp activities were held at three locations:
- MESTYLE Museum Hotel, Bangkok
- Suranaree University of Technology, Nakhon Ratchasima
- Leosor Hotel, Nakhon Ratchasima
Participants also got to visit interesting places like the Thailand Stock Exchange Museum, Sai Sook Khao Yai Wildlife Learning Ground, Suranaree Agricultural Fair, and took a Field trip to Korat.
Sachin said the camp was a great learning experience. It helped him improve his entrepreneurial skills and gave him a chance to explore Thailand’s culture and business environment.
