Madhu Dhiman, Raghupati Vyas, Savad KP PhD students from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), participated in the Reinforcement Learning Workshop 2025, held at the IISc Bangalore campus from January 22–25, 2025.
The workshop commenced with a tutorial on reinforcement learning theory by Prof. Vidyasagar from IIT Hyderabad. From January 23–25, the event featured insightful talks by renowned professors from around the world, including Dimitri Bertsekas, Vivek Borkar, and Konstantin Avrachenkov, among others.
Sachin Bodke, a research scholar from the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) department at IIT Bombay, recently participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Camp (GEC) 2025 held at Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Thailand. The camp took place from January 8 to January 18, 2025, in Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima.
Madhu Dhiman, a PhD student at IEOR, IIT Bombay, under the supervision of Prof. N. Hemachandra and Prof. Veeraruna Kavitha. She visited INRIA, Sophia Antipolis, France, for the LION research project, working under Prof. Konstantin Avrachenkov.
Sachin Bodke, a research scholar from the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) department, recently conducted a research survey in five states; for this survey, between December 1 and December 11, 2024, he visited four centres in Delhi operated by Apex Kidney Care.
IEOR student Pulkit Khandelwal (M.Tech) received institute prizes for academic performance during the function to celebrate National Education Day on November 11, 2024. Dr Vasudha Kamat, Former Vice Chancellor of SNDT University, was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Reunion Convocation of batch 2020 and 2021
A mini convocation was held on 6th August, 2022 for the graduating batch of the year 2020 and 2021 A.D. The ceremony was conducted in the Victor Menezes Convention Centre (VMCC), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Festivals are the period of celebration and bring peace and joy for everyone. They are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions. To mark the festival of Dussshera, students organized puja on October 4, 2022 at Teaching lab in IEOR. A beautiful Marigold flower Mosaic welcomed everyone at the entrance. To rejoice, lot of pictures being taken and snacks were served too.
