The Department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research (IEOR), IIT Bombay, in collaboration with CE & QIP, IIT Bombay, successfully concluded the 5th Naval Operations Analysis (NOA) Course from 4th March to 21st June 2024. Conducted over four months, the course covered basic mathematics, data analysis, applied probability and statistics, simulation, optimization, game theory, and specialized topics in Naval Operations (viz., Combat models, Search and Detection)
The valedictory Function of the NOA course 2024 was held on 21st June 2024.
The programme was steered under the guidance of Prof. Manjesh Kumar Hanawal, Professor-in-Charge of the Technocraft Centre for Applied Artificial Intelligence (TCAAI), IIT Bombay, reinforcing the Centre's commitment to advancing the application of artificial intelligence and operations research in strategic and national security domains. The successful completion of the fifth edition reflects IEOR and TCAAI's continued efforts to foster meaningful collaborations between academia and the defence forces while building future-ready analytical capabilities for national service.
