Tech-Connect is the annual technical exhibition held at IIT Bombay to showcase projects done by IIT-Bombay’s students and faculty. Tech-Connect offers a platform for knowledge-exchange between the industry and the academia which helps in attaining sustainable progress. This was Tech-Connect’s second running year when it was organized during Techfest-2011 (7th - 9th Jan.) in collaboration with IRCC, IIT-Bombay.
IEOR placements have always been very good. This placement season (2010-2011) at IIT-Bombay too is no different as it has seen a very positive industry response to the IEOR students. The placement statistics are very encouraging : 10 out of the 13 M.Tech. students who registered for placements have been placed as of now.
IEOR students were placed in notable companies such as Capital IQ, HSBC Global Sourcing, Inductis (EXL Services), McKinsey Knowledge Centre, Polaris, Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) and Virtusa.
Ketki Kulkarni, PhD student of IEOR wins a gold in PG Sports - Women's Singles Tennis Tournament.
IEOR student presented a Play titled "One night at Surya Villa" . This Play stood 2nd in PG Cult Drama, which is a competition among 21 Departments. It was a Play with a murder mystery , thrill and humour. It is a story about an incident which took in Surya Villa, which is the Bunglow of a famous actor.
Vibhav Kamath of M.Tech, 2nd year, is in the winning team in the Strategic Innovation Game (SIG), held by E garage, on 19.01.11 at IITB. The game involved a simulation based software that allows participants to form virtual companies and run it just like running normal companies by making appropriate operational decisions like Production and Production Efficiency, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Reports, and Stock market.

IEOR got a good start for the first day of PG Sport Atheletics Event. Robin Bhandari Msc-Phd 2nd year student won a silver medal in 200 m Race. Along with Robin , there were many enthusiastic participants from IEOR, they were Krishna Chaitanya V M.tech 2nd year, Pratik Fadadu M.tech 2nd Year, in girls Chandrama Naha M.tech 2nd Year, Indu Chaudhury Msc-Phd 1st Year, and Pratibha Saini Msc-Phd 1st year.

Research Scholar Ketki Kulkarni participated in the Inter IIT Sports Championships held at IIT Delhi in December 2010. She won the silver medal in Tennis and the bronze medal in Table Tennis tournaments.
