Rishav Deval, a Senior Research Fellow at IEOR, IIT Bombay, presented "Emission-based Production and Inventory Control System: A stability analysis for system cost and service level", a paper co-authored with Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran at the 11th EUROSIM CONGRESS 2023 held at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Amsterdam, the Netherland organized triennially by the Dutch Benulex Simulation Society (DBSS) from July 3 to July 5, themed Simulation for Sustainable Future, observed presenters from around 35+ countries with 100+ posters and presentations.

As a part of Phase I, MECS SC2 project, IITB team visited the BRLPS head office in Patna from 13th June to 15th June 2023. The workshop was conducted to finalize the itemized cashflows, manpower (salary and roles), awareness activities, timeline, target location, target market, and other supply chain requirements for the project. 
We also briefly introduced our work to the CEO of Jeevika (BRLPS).
The workshop was conducted by Prof. Jayendran V., Deepak, Sanket, Purva, and the JWIRES team(Amit, Gaurav, Jitendra, Pushpendra).

Rishav Deval, Senior Research Fellow at IEOR, presented his work (under the supervision of Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran) on "Dynamics of Capacity Upgradation and Emission-based Production and Inventory Control System" at the International Conference on Sustainable Business Management (ICSBM) hosted by the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in collaboration with Arizona State University, USA from 23-25 March 2023. 

Sachin Yadav Bodke and Nitish Kumar Dumoliya, research scholars from IEOR, attended the "Summer School and International Conference on Large Scale Optimization" held at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur from 2 April to 10 April 2023. The school was basically on IP, MIP, MILP and MINLP. The experienced faculty from different IITs and IIMs taught the following topics;

IEOR Day is celebrated every year to commemorate the department’s unique culture and share ideas and experiences with our community. This year the IEOR day was celebrated on 1st April, 2023 at the Victor Menezes Convention Center (VMCC), IIT Bombay based on the theme “Digital Transformation for Operational Excellence”. Many leading experts from industry and academia presented and discussed their ongoing work and future challenges in the event.

Bheeshm Sharma, a research scholar at IEOR shortlisted for attending the Medical Imaging Workshop at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru during 24-25 Feb. He also participated in the poster session, where he presented his work and got valuable comments and feedback from the audience and Judges. The workshop was conducted by Axis Bank Centre for Mathematics and Computing.

Rishav Deval, a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at IEOR attends workshop on "Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) Simulation Workshop" conducted by Council for Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) in collaboration with Asia Society of Policy Studies (ASPI), Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and International Emission Trading Association (IETA) at Ahmedabad University, Ahmedabad on February 21.

Manoj Kumar, a research scholar from IEOR presented his work as a poster titled Decision Policy for Intraoperative Ultrasound Imaging for Brain Cancer at the 12th International Conference on Operations Research and Enterprise Systems (ICORES) in Lisbon, Portugal, held from 19th to 22nd February 2023. The conference primarily focused on the methodological and practical application of operations research, with an acceptance rate of 22% and participants from 24 countries.

The 61st Interim Convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay was held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 3.00 pm onwards in the Convocation Hall of the Institute. The event was live telecasted too and the recording can be found here.
