I am extremely happy to welcome Prof. Arunselvan Ramaswamy who has joined the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) at IIT Bombay on 27th February, 2026 as Associate Professor.
Arunselvan obtained his Doctorate from IISC in 2016 and has served at Paderborn University, Germay in various positions such as Academic Associate, Lecturer, Junior Research Head (Data Science and Artificial Integlligence) and Stand-in-Professor. Prior joining IEOR, he served Karlstad University, Sweden as Associate Professor.
Arunselvan's research interests are in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Statistical Learning and Stocahstic Optimization. He has also collaborated with several Industries (RedHat, Tietoevry and Ericsson in several capacities) during his academic career. Once again I welcome Prof Arunselvan Ramaswamy and wish him a long, productive and happy career and life at IIT Bombay.
