The Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) is pleased to announce the upcoming Stochastic Processes on Networks (SPoN) 2026 Workshop as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations funded by the IoE cell via an SCPP fund.

PhD students Simran Lakhani and Debanjan Gangopadhyay along with MTech students Rijin Raj and Ishaan Mane from the department of IEOR attended the 6th Large-Scale Optimization (LSO 2026) summer school organized by IIT Delhi.
This summer school served as a great opportunity for the students to increase their knowledge about various topics in the field of Optimization and Decision Sciences. The LSO hosted speakers from various IIT's and IIM's and all these speakers were able to deliver really insightful sessions.

Hritiz Gogoi presented his PhD research work titled “Exactness of Semidefinite Relaxation of the Max-Cut Problem” at the SIAM Conference on Optimization (OP26), organized by the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The conference was held at The University of Edinburgh from June 2–5, 2026.

Himanshu attended the 2nd PRSG meeting on IoT SandBox Project
Himanshu Maurya , MTech 2nd year student in IEOR department attended the second PRSG meeting on IoT Sandbox Project in CDAC - Hyderabad on 22nd May 2026 . The meeting was to update the progress of the project to the PRSG members. The project is in a stage where a full physical setup is developed to simulate IoT attacks and algorithm is also ready for detection of various Malware attacks in IoT devices.

Shubham Kumar Singh and Santhakumar V, PhD students in the IEOR department, attended the Advanced Instructional School (AIS) on Martingales and Stochastic Calculus with Applications to Finance, hosted by IIT Guwahati from 11th May 2026 to 23rd May 2026.
The AIS included lectures on martingales, Brownian motion, stochastic calculus, and their applications in mathematical finance. It provided an opportunity to meet and discuss the related topics with professors and students from various institutions.

Debanjan Gangopadhyay, Neeraj Kumar, and Gurkirat Wadhwa, Ph.D. students in the IEOR department, attended the Summer School on Operations and Analytics Research (SOAR), on the topics of Advancing Research through Game Theory and Laboratory Experiments, jointly organized by SPJIMR, XLRI and IIT Madras, held at the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, from April 6–10, 2026. The workshop brought together researchers working at the intersection of game theory and supply chain operations, including behavioral and experimental aspects of game theory.
