Students of B.Tech (2nd Year) in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, accompanied by Prof. Jayendran Venkateswaran and teaching assistants Advitiya Mishra, Ayush Gupta, Risha Podder, and Akshat, visited the Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive Plant in Nashik on 1st November, 2025. The visit offered valuable exposure to large-scale automobile manufacturing processes, including the TCF and XUV assembly lines. Students witnessed the real-time implementation of industrial concepts such as poka-yoke (error-proofing) and line assembly operations, enhancing their understanding of core manufacturing principles.
Guided by the plant’s line managers and technical staff, the students observed how automation and human expertise integrate seamlessly to maintain efficient and precise production. The experience provided a practical perspective on process flow, lean systems, and quality management, bridging the gap between theory and industrial practice. The visit proved to be an insightful and inspiring learning experience, reinforcing students’ appreciation for modern manufacturing systems and operational excellence.
