Lectures on Stochastic Games by T.E.S. Raghavan

Professor T.E.S. Raghavan, who made fundamental contributions to game theory (non-cooperative as well as cooperative), MDPs, stochastic games and many related topics would be lecturing on stochastic games next week.

While the focus would be on stochastic games and MDPs, some preliminaries on linear programming and Markov chains would also be covered.

The lectures would be between 10 AM -12 PM and 3 PM - 5 PM.

Madhu Dhiman, Raghupati Vyas, Savad KP PhD students from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), participated in the Reinforcement Learning Workshop 2025, held at the IISc Bangalore campus from January 22–25, 2025.  

The workshop commenced with a tutorial on reinforcement learning theory by Prof. Vidyasagar from IIT Hyderabad. From January 23–25, the event featured insightful talks by renowned professors from around the world, including Dimitri Bertsekas, Vivek Borkar, and Konstantin Avrachenkov, among others.

The students and staff of the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR) Department presented their research at the prestigious COMSNETS 2025 Conference in Bangalore. Under the guidance of Prof. Manjesh Kumar Hanawal, researchers Devesh Sawant, Prakhar Paliwal, Arjun Sable, and Manjesh Hanawal showcased their paper, "A Tool for Enhanced Software Vulnerability Detection And Integrity Monitoring." This innovative tool enhances software security by accurately detecting vulnerabilities and continuously monitoring system integrity.
