Sachin Yadav Bodke, a research scholar from IEOR, attended the lectures on Statistical Techniques for Research Methodology (STRM) at the workshop organized by the “Indian Statistical Institute, SQC & OR Unit, Mumbai” from Dec. 13 to Dec. 17, 2022. It was an online workshop, and the experienced faculty at Indian Statistical Institute taught the following topics;
IEOR students Simran Lakhani, Rahul Vaishnav, and Harinarayan NU presented work in SOM22: 25th Annual International Conference of the Society of Operations Management (SOM) organized at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore during 16-18 December 2022.
IEOR students Bheeshm Sharma and Vaibhav Singh Panwar presented their work in Tech Connect held at IIT Bombay during 16-18 December 2022. Bheeshm discussed Deep Learning for 3D Image segmentation/Classification and Vaibhav talked about Deep Learning for Medical Prescription Generation.
IEOR participated in the 2022 Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) held at Singapore, from December 10th-14th, 2022. The following works were presented
Jayendran Venkateswaran presented a paper titled "Agent Based Learning Environment for Survey Research", co-authers with Dr. Sayli Shiradkar, and Deepak C. Prof. Jayendran V also chaired a session on "Simulation Education and Gaming".
The conference was also attended by IEOR alumni, Dr. Ketki Kulkarni, Dr. Ratnaji Vanga, Ms. Ankita Prasad.
The paper titled An innovative modelling framework for freight consolidation in transportation planning authored by Manoj Kumar (Doctoral scholar, IEOR) and Anoop K P (Post-Doctoral Fellow, IEOR) won the commendable paper award at the Ninth International Conference on Business Analytics and Intelligence (BAICONF 2022) held at IIM Bangalore during 15 - 17 December 2022.
Prashant Trivedi (Research Scholar, IEOR, IIT Bombay) presented a paper titled Noise Robust Core-stable Coalitions of Hedonic Games co-authored with Prof. N. Hemachandra at the 14th Asian Conference on Machine Learning, 2022 (ACML 2022) held during 12-14 Dec 2022 at Hyderabad, India. ACML has come to India for the first time.
IEOR doctoral students attended and presented their works at the IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management (IEEM 2022), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia held during 7-10 December 2022.
Khushboo Agarwal presented a paper titled Saturated total-population dependent branching process and viral markets co-authored with Prof. Veeraruna Kavitha at the IEEE 61st Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) 2022 held during 6-9 December 2022 in Cancun, Mexico.
