Mr. Sachin Bodke, PhD student in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), IIT Bombay, attended the Global Digital Health Summit 2025, Expo & Innovation Awards held from 19th to 21st September 2025 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.

The summit, led by Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta, brought experts, policymakers, and innovators together to discuss how digital technologies are changing healthcare. Sachin had the chance to meet Dr. Rajendra Pratap Gupta and cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, and interact with them personally.

Pathapati Abhishek attended the GIAN course titled Graphs, Spectra, and Convex Geometry at IISc Bengaluru, held from 28 July 2025 to 1 August 2025. The course was conducted by Professor Arvind Ayyer (IISc Bengaluru) and Professor Rekha Thomas (University of Washington).

Madhu Dhiman, a PhD student from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research (IEOR), participated in the Joint Telematics Group/IEEE Information Theory Society Summer School on Signal Processing, Communications and Networks, which was organized by IIT Bombay from 7th to 11th July, 2025.

The IEOR Department of IIT Bombay successfully hosted its 63rd Convocation on 23rd August 2025 at VMCC, Hall No. 21, 2nd floor. The event commenced at 10:15 am with the Institute Song and Academic Procession, followed by a batch video and welcome address by the Head of Department.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Prof. Partha Ray, Director, NIBM Pune, who delivered the convocation address. Faculty members also addressed the gathering, after which the Awards and Degree Distribution were carried out.

Sachin Bodke presented his research work “Understanding the Impact of Accessibility on Hemodialysis Outcomes in India” at the 51st Operational Research Applied to Health Services (ORAHS 2025) conference, held at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, from 05th to 11th July 2025.

The 5th edition of the Large Scale Optimization (LSO) Summer School was held from June 16–21, 2025, at IIT Bombay.
Organized by the Department of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, the event brought together PhD students, faculty, and industry professionals.
Participants engaged in expert lectures and hands-on sessions covering topics like Benders decomposition, cutting plane methods, and robust optimization. The program facilitated insightful panel discussions and collaborative learning, strengthening the optimization research community.
