IEOR had a strong presence at the industry event organized by Gurobi in Benagluru (April 9-10, 2025). At least twenty IEOR alumni were at the event (see photos on Day 1 and Day 2) and Ashutosh Mahajan from IEOR was an invited speaker (he spoke on nonlinear optimization models in design of water networks - ongoing work with Ph.D. student Nitish Dumoliya). Narayan Rangaraj participated in a panel discussion on the second day.

Title: Differentiable Modeling for Machine Learning
Raghupati Vyas, a research fellow in the IEOR department at IIT Bombay, presented the paper titled “Balancing Rationality and Social Influence: Alpha-Rational Nash Equilibrium in Games with Herding” (co-authored with Khushboo Agarwal, Prof. Konstantin Avrachenkov, and Prof. Veeraruna Kavitha) at the 13th EAI International Conference on Game Theory for Networks, organized at Magdalene College, University of Cambridge, UK. The conference was held from March 17, 2025, to March 18, 2025.
