DHL Supply Chain Team to visit IEOR

A team from DHL Supply Chain, (Global Solutions Design Center) will be visiting our IEOR Department to deliver a talk showcasing their industry work and current projects. They will be interacting with the students and would be highlighting the various applications in Supply Chain and Logistics Industry.

This will be an essential talk for students who wish to pursue their careers in Supply Chain and Logistics Sector.
Some of our alumni are also in this team and will be joining the session.

Industrial Visit of IEOR students

IEOR student visited manufacturing unit of John Deere, Pune on 17th of October 2019. The visit was aimed at taking a closer look of application of Industrial Enginnering and Operations Research in practice. Students were able to see Simulations used for different purposes from managing the optimal funtioning of the unit to testing new designs.

IEOR students awarded ACM-W Scholarships

IEOR students, Ms. Chhavi Sharma and Ms. Vanessa Ann Beddoe Sawkmie have been awarded the highly competitive ACM-W scholarships for attendance to research conferences.  
Ms. Chavvi has been awarded the scholarship to attend & present her work at the Neural Information Processing Systems(NeurIPS) workshop on Beyond First order methods in ML to be held at Vancouver, Canada in December 2019.  Ms. Vanessa has been awarded the scholarship to attend and present her work at the IEEE IEEM conference to be held at Macau in December 2019.
