IEOR lifts PG Sports Trophy 2014-15
Owing to exemplary hardwork, determination and planning, IEOR has won the overall championship in PG sports 2014-15. Thanks to everyone for making it possible. Atul Kumar played a key role as the Joint Sports Secretory in this successful campaign.
Prashant Palkar presented a paper in PCO, IPDPS 2015
Prashant Palkar, a Ph.D. student, presented a paper titled "A Branch-and-Estimate heuristic procedure for solving nonconvex integer optimization problems", a joint work with Prof. Ashutosh Mahajan, in the workshop on Parallel Computing and Optimization (PCO) in conjunction with 29th IEEE International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium (IPDPS). The conference was held during May 25-29, 2015, at Hyderabad, India. More details can be seen here.

IEOR organised a workshop on operations planning and strategy on Indian Railways
Prof. Narayan Rangaraj and his collaborators organised on May 30 a workshop at IIT Bombay for operations planning and strategy in railways. The workshop brought together several experts and officials from CRIS, Railway Board, Western Railway and Central Railway divisions of the Indian Railways, and also researchers from industry and academia. The workshop featured talks, a panel discussion and a poster session.

Participation in WiOpt 2015
The 13th International Symposium on Modeling and Optimization in Mobile, Ad Hoc and Wireless Networks (WiOpt), held on May 25-29, 2015 at the IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India. This conference is a platform to discuss ideas related to modeling, performance evaluation, and optimization of wireless networks. More details can be seen here. Following papers from IEOR were presented during this conference in the technical session and various workshops.
