Ms. Puja Sahu presents in ACML 2019, Japan

Ms. Puja Sahu presented her work, "Optimal PAC-Bayesian Posteriors for Stochastic Classifiers and their use for Choice of SVM Regularization Parameter" at the Eleventh Asian Conference on Machine Learning (ACML 2019) held in Nagoya, Japan, from 17th to 19th November 2019. This is a joint work with Prof. N. Hemachandra. Originating in the Asia-Pacific Region, ACML aims at providing a leading international forum for researchers in machine learning and related fields to share their original research findings ,new ideas and achievements.

 

Prof. K.S.Mallikarjuna Rao appointed as Professor

IEOR is happy to announce the appointment of Prof. K.S.Mallikarjuna Rao as Professor in the department, as of November 2019.

Prof. Rao holds a doctoral degree in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. His Research Interests include Deterministic and Stochastic control, (Differential) Game Theory, Viscosity Solutions, Markov Decision Processes, Probability and Mathematical Finance.
