IEOR got a good start for the first day of PG Sport Atheletics Event. Robin Bhandari Msc-Phd 2nd year student won a silver medal in 200 m Race. Along with Robin , there were many enthusiastic participants from IEOR, they were Krishna Chaitanya V M.tech 2nd year, Pratik Fadadu M.tech 2nd Year, in girls Chandrama Naha M.tech 2nd Year, Indu Chaudhury Msc-Phd 1st Year, and Pratibha Saini Msc-Phd 1st year.

Dr. N.Hemachandra appointed as Professor in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research with effect from 21 January 2011.
Prof N. Hemachandra (IEOR) has been appointed as Convenor of IEOR in October 2010 and has taken over from Prof Narayan Rangaraj (IEOR) on 24 January 2011.
Research Scholar Ketki Kulkarni participated in the Inter IIT Sports Championships held at IIT Delhi in December 2010. She won the silver medal in Tennis and the bronze medal in Table Tennis tournaments.
